This week’s post is another haul! I have been very lucky in the sense that I’ve been able to get a fair amount of new makeup and skincare products. Because of that I’ve been getting really into skincare and my skin is definitely happy for it!
I love doing haul posts and I’ve done them a few times with maybelline products (this is a really old post, don’t judge me!), a trip to Superdrug and another one with a little bit of everything.
For any of you that don’t know what Avon is (is it only in Europe?) it is a cosmetics brand that works with resellers. So that don’t sell in stores, you need to contact a reseller to get a hold of their products. (Update: Apparently in some countries you can just buy online)
So I decided to give Avon a try and ordered a couple of things.
The first product I got was the True Color Glimmerstick in blackest black. I didn’t actually order this one (or if I did it was by mistake!). I still haven’t used it yet but I did swatch it when I got it and it is incredibly smooth. I hate those eye pencils that are dry and hard to apply. Your eyes are such a sensitive area that the smoother the product the better.
I actually compared this to my Rimmel Exagerate Waterproof Eyeliner (which I had for ages and absolutely love) and the Avon one is actually smoother and more pigmented!
Next thing is the Mark MagiX Prep & Set Spray. I had never had a setting spray before and I really wanted to know what all the fuss was about. I tried to find one when I went to the UK this summer but I wouldn’t have been able to fit it in my airport liquids plastic bag (how annoying is that btw? Do they think I’m going to kill someone with beauty products?).
I’ve still only used this a couple of times so I can’t yet say if it really makes a difference. I will make sure to review it when I have formed an opinion on it so stay tuned for that!
This last thing I got is the Clearskin Pore & Shine Control Black Mineral Mask. The reason why I wanted to try this out is because I don’t own a lot of masks and as I said I am getting more into skincare and keeping my pores clean is a big part of the reason why. Believe me when I say my skin used to look so weird (and still does if I skip skincare for a few days). My pores have always been pretty big so I’m on a mission to make that better as much as I can.
That’s all for this week’s post. Have you ever tried out any Avon products?
