I have actually lost count of the times I’ve mentioned Batiste Dry Shampoo on my blog. I remember I included it on a monthly favourites once, because it literally saves my life on a weekly basis! If you know anything about me, you’ll know I have really oily hair. I’m always complaining about it. Always. I will literally wash my hair one night and by the afternoon the next day, it’ll be oily again. (See? I’m already complaining )
I’ve tried other dry shampoo brands before. I got one from Sephora once and tbh it didn’t really do much, and it was bloody expensive as well! But then the gods answered my prayers and Primark started selling Batiste Dry Shampoo – at the price of gold, may I add, but it’s a start!
Then I had the bright idea of trying the 2 in 1 invisible dry shampoo & conditioner… Because it’s from Batiste and I love their original one I thought this was going to be great! Turns out it wasn’t and I spent 5€ on that bottle! It’s true what they say: ‘If it ain’t broken don’t try to fix it’.
Well, now that I have 5€ less in my pocket and a full bottle of dry shampoo that I’m never going to use I thought I had to make the best of it and share my traumatic experience with you! (A bit dramatic? Definitely!)
I thought this was going to be a great product. It sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. I was so excited to try it that I used it right away, even thought I didn’t need it yet, my hair wasn’t oily. I was shocket to see that my hair became oily after using this! And I’ve talked to other bloggers and I’m not the only one who had this issue! I tried it out a couple of times after that and the same thing happened: this dry shampoo makes your hair oily. So I wonder: What’s the point? Did no one try this before aproving it to sell?
I recently went to the UK and you know your girl had to stock up on Batiste Dry Shampoo! It’s super affordable over there (like anything beauty related, which makes me so jealous!). So I got three bottles from Batiste and one from Co Lab that I haven’t tried yet buy hopefully it’s great!
Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in amazing scents but my favorite one so far is sweetie! I regret not getting more bottles of this one. I’ve been sing the ‘nourish & enrich’ one and I don’t see much difference. I think it was more expensive so I don’t think it’s worth it. But it’s still great, don’t get me wrong!
I hope you liked this post. I don’t like talking badly about products on my blog since I want this to be a positive space. However, I think I found a good balance with this post as I tried to share other products I love from the brand! Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these!
