A while ago I got an email from iUNIK, a Korean skincare brand asking if I wanted to review some of their products. As you might know if you read my blog, I’m trying to get more into skincare. I’ve always been a little lazy when it comes to taking my makeup off at night.(Awful, I know!).so this was the perfect opportunity to try new products! I’ve also heard a lot about Korean skincare and everyone seems to be loving it at the moment, so I had to try for myself!
Something great about this brand is that they work with natural ingredients. On their website, they give you a lot of information about each product and you can really tell they’re made of amazing ingredients. The two products I tried contain a lot of different fruits and plants and I could really feel that when using them.
I was very curious about their Lime Moisture Mild Peeling Gel, (12.99$)* so of course, I had to try it. I have a lot of exfoliating products that I love. So obviously a peeling gel seemed like a great idea,.since my skin tends to get really dirty and with lots of texture.
This product has an interesting texture. It’s quite a runny gel, which makes it easy to apply. You’re supposed to rub it on your skin in circular motions and as you do you start to feel little dots form. The first time I used this I was so amazed/scared. They’re really mushy and soft so I totally thought they were dead skin cells rolling off of my face. After using it a couple more times, I think that’s just the gel that starts to bunch up, probably to exfoliate your skin.
This gel is said to be good for all skin types, which I totally agree. It’s smooth and gentle on the skin so I don’t think anyone would have issues with it. It has a very light scent that reminds me of lime,.which would make sense since it contains Lime, Grape, Orange, Apple and Lemon!
The other product I got to try was the Propolis Vitamin Synergy Serum (19.99$)*. I had never tried a serum before and had heard good things about this one so I was really excited to try it. Like I said in the beginning of this post, I’m really lazy when it comes to skincare. My routine has never gone past the cleanser +.moisturiser deal so it was interesting trying to implement an extra step. I can really tell a difference when I use it, my skin feels healthier. Usually, I’ll apply this at night, to damp skin and putting my normal moisturizer on top once the serum has soaked into my skin (literally 5 seconds after applying it!).
I need to work on GIFs! I’ve done this once before, here, but I can’t seem to get the hang of it! However, I really wanted to show the consistency of the serum. I hope you can see how smooth it is. It doesn’t make my skin feel oily at all, which was something I was worried about, since I have oily skin. It says it’s for dry, sensitive skin, so I’d say it’s perfect for anyone! I normally use 3 drops to cover my entire face and rub it in.(even though I’ve recently learned you should pat it in?). Like I said, it dries super quick and once I put my moisturizer over it my face feels fresh and healthy! It has a lovely scent, which is not too strong. I wanna say it smells like oranges but it might be in my head because of the colour!
Let me know if you’ve tried any of these iUNIK products. I’d also love to know your favourite serum! Don’t forget to leave a comment and follow me on my social media so we can be friends!!
