I haven’t done one of these in a while! Last time I shared with you my favourites was back in October, can you believe it? That post is still one of my most popular posts so I had to make another one, especially since I’ve been trying loads of new products! I’ve been going through my makeup collection, trying to give some things a second chance and even finding some things I never got around to testing!
One of those things is this ink liner by Kat Von D. I got it in a giveaway back in January and never got around to using it. I’m not one to use eyeliner normally, but since this one was green it didn’t really catch my eye. And what a mistake that was. I decided to give it a try the other day and it’s gorgeous! It’s super easy to apply and it lasts all day without budging. But, ironically, what I’ve been loving most is the colour! I have a couple of black eyeliners but since I have hooded eyes I feel like they look like too much on me. They cover my lids and it’s just too heavy on my eyes. This one, however, looks much lighter! It doesn’t show up as green as you’d think, more like a shade of grey. I’ve been using it a lot recently, hence why I’ve added it to my favourites!
Much like the eyeliner, I decided to give this one a second chance. I was reminded of it when I saw it on someone’s favourites post last month. Sadly, I can’t remember who it was! This was the first highlighter I bought (3€ at Primark!). However, once I got my first highlighter palette I quickly stopped reaching for this one. It’s always sad when you have makeup stored and don’t use it so I decided to give it another chance. I still don’t love it for highlighting but it turns out this is the most beautiful eyeshadow! I love adding it to the inner corner for a pop of shine! It’s a beautiful champagne shade and it looks gorgeous all day.
You might know this if you’ve ever read my blog before but I don’t normally get to use any luxury makeup or skincare. After trying this, though, I totally get the hype! My under eye area has never felt so smooth! Also, you only have to apply the tiniest little bit which is great since I imagine this will cost you an arm and a leg! But hey, it really does work!
This one has been a favourite for months, but I thought I’d include it anyway. I got this Tahe hair mask when I first died my hair because it felt really dry and unhealthy. I got it at the hair salon (I know, fancy) as a set with a shampoo and a hair lotion for 20€, which doesn’t seem too expensive considering you get 3 great products. I’ve used up the shampoo and lotion but since I don’t have as much time to use the hair mask this one is still around. I don’t think I’ve ever owned a hair mask that’s as good as this one! It leaves my hair feeling smooth and healthy. Plus, it smells amazing! The whole set just smelled like getting your hair done at the hair salon so I think it’s time to go back and buy some more!
Last, but by no means least, is this book. The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. It took me a while to actually finish it (I remember I was reading this one the plane to England back in January!). But it wasn’t because I wasn’t enjoying it, I just lost my tempo with reading. I was doing so well for about a year, I read a book a month, and now I’m just so behind and not used to reading anymore! However, I did manage to finish this book a week or so ago and I loved it! I wasn’t expecting it to end like it did, at all! So it was a nice surprise to not know the ending of a book. I was so surprised that I couldn’t put the book down towards the end! I do recommend you read the book before watching the movie, though. Me and my boyfriend watched the movie after reading it and we both almost fell asleep!!
That’s all for this month’s favourites! Let me know if you’ve tried any of these products and if you like posts like these! Also, what book are you currently reading? I’d love to know!
