I got this Foundation as a gift from my boyfriend on my birthday in January so I’ve been using it for a while!
The packaging of this product reminds me a bit of the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer, that I featured on my Maybelline Haul, ages ago! (Looking back on that post I’m so proud of how much my photography has evolved!)
I have a few other foundations, a couple of them I featured in this post) but honestly this is the one I reach for the most. First of all, because it is the perfect shade for me and second because I love the texture. I’ve never had a whipped foundation before and it just feels so nice!
Another reason why I like it so much is that it doesn’t look cakey, so long as you apply it in thin layers. I’ve also found that it doesn’t look weird in between my eyebrows where sometimes my skin gets dry. I have very oily skin and this foundation doesn’t have a matte finish. So if you too have oily skin you’ll definitely have to powder. However, I feel like you can get away with not retouching it throughout the day, which is saying a lot!
Another thing I love about it is how blendable it is. I prefer applying it with my beauty blender. I tried a brush and it just didn’t look as flawless. Another thing I’ve noticed when comparing this foundation to my L’oreal True Mach Genius 4 in 1 is that this blends better. I applied that one with the sponge it comes with so that might be the reason why. I’ll have to give it another try with the beauty blender. But that’s a problem you won’t have with the Maybelline one because it blends out super nicely.
All in all, I will totally repurchase this foundation when I run out of it since it’s one of my favourites so far! You can check out other products that I’ve been loving during the month of October on my October Favorites post, have you read it yet?
I’ll be back next week with another post. Meanwhile, don’t forget to leave a comment and follow me on my social media so you don’t miss a post from me!
