In case you didn’t see my Life Update post: I’ve moved! I’ve been trying to get my room all lovely and decorated, which is not easy on a student’s budget. However, while browsing through Pinterest I came across a few budget-friendly options to decorate my walls. Also, another big thing while living in student accommodation is that you can’t make holes in the walls so I’m happy I could do this with tape!
This is a pretty easy DIY project but I’m so happy with how it turned out that I wanted to share with you. I’ve posted a photo on my Instagram a couple of days ago and it seems I’m not the only one who loved having photos on display. I love looking at them and seeing not only my favourite people but also some of my favourite memories.
For this super easy DIY you’ll need:
- Scotch Tape
- Thin Rope
- Tiny little pegs
- Your favourite photos
All you have to do is print your photos and cut them however you think will look best. I decided to cut mine to somewhat resemble polaroids because I like how that looks. You can also not leave any of the white, or even write on them, if your handwriting is cuter than mine!
After you’ve got all your photos ready, just do some simple math and decide how many rows of rope you want. I decided to go for 3 rows with 5-6 photos on each. I hope in the future I’ll add photos to them so I’ve left some space for that!
After that, you just need to cut your rope, add the photos in with the pegs and tape them to the wall! If you’re luckier than I am and are able to actually pin them to the wall that would be best. I’ve had mine fall on my one or twice so far, but the scotch tape does the job haha
