I shared on my Twitter the other day that I found this gorgeous palette at Primark for only 3.50€ (around 3£ or 4$). The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that it really resembles the small Huda Beauty Obsessions pallettes… There’s no denying that the packaging was strongly inspired by those ones. I even dare to say this Primark packaging looks better! The shades are not a perfect match, but I’d say they’re going for the look on the Mauve palette.
I’m a big fan of eyeshadow palettes, especially affordable ones! I reviewed the MUR Iconic 3 palette last year so make sure to go give that post a read too if you’re looking for affordable makeup!
I must admit that the first time I swatched these I felt surprised. If I remember correctly, the first shade I swatched in the store was Devotion. You know I can’t pass a good coppery shade, even though this one has some beautiful berry undertones that I love! All of the shades, as you can see, have lots of pigment. Most of them also feel buttery smooth, which I wasn’t really expecting with a 3.50€ Primark palette. This palette contains mostly shimmers, with only one matte shade (Sweetness) and one beautiful iridescent shade (Peace) which looks white on the pan but has a lovely pink/purple tone.
I’ve used this palette quite a lot since I got it, you can do so much with it. I’ve tried this both with and without eye primer (you can see my favourite primer here + a 10h wear test!) and it works great either way. I thought since this is a really affordable palette that maybe it wouldn’t be as durable but I was wrong. It lasts really well even without a base and I was super impressed. Even though I don’t own the Huda Beauty Obsessions palettes I really think this is a good alternative if you can’t spend 40$ on those. The packaging is really beautiful and convenient. In my opinion, it’s even prettier than the original one! This might be the cheapest palette I own but I can tell I’m going to get good use out of it and totally recommend it!
I’ve been loving using this palette. It’s perfect for travelling because it’s small and has a good variety of shades.(pink and red-toned) that allows me to get multiple looks out of it. I am surprised by how good it is and can’t wait to find more affordable,.amazing makeup at Primark!
Have you ever tried any Primark makeup? Do you have any recommendations for super affordable palettes like this one? Also, let me know if you want me to share a couple of looks that you can get out of this palette!
