Those of you who follow me on instagram or twitter will already know that I have found a new Revolution foundation that I love. It’s the Revolution Pro Foundation Drops (7£) You might already know if you read my blog that I’ve truggled with finding a good foundation. A lot. Anytime I’d try foundation it would always break apart in my chin and nose. My forehead would look awful right after applying my makeup. I had no idea why that was happening, and I still don’t, but it put me off wearing foundation for the longest time. I thought no foundation would ever look good on me.
However, as I’ve reported here before, I found one foundation that looks good on my skin. The Revolution Fast Base foundation was the first that I fell in love with and I’m happy to say they’ve done it again.
This one is a liquid foundation, unlike the Fast Base that comes in a stick form. The first time I tried it I was so eager to see what it looked like that I didn’t even use a primer. It got a little oily after a few hours but nothing a little powder couldn’t handle. Also, keep in mind I have really oily skin so it wasn’t even that bad. Since then I’ve tried it a million different ways. With a lot of different primers. With a beauty sponge. A brush. With powder. Without powder. I’ve tried most of my concealers with it and it has become my most favorite foundation I own.
Foundation Drops looks very natural on the skin. So much so that it actually looks like skin, which is a dream to me. They say on their website that this is a lightweight formula and I couldn’t agree more. It wears very well thought the day and I even forget I have it on. It also claims to be medium to light coverage, but I’d say this is medium to full. If worn with the right primer it makes my pores look smaller and gives my skin a very healthy look. This is also one you want to blend in with a sponge. I’m not the biggest fan of applying foundation with a brush so keep that in mind. But I am trying new brushes soon so you can expect a blog post all about foundation brushes/sponges/etc.
I’ve also managed to find the perfect shade for myself. Spot on perfect, shade F2. I mentioned this in my UK Haul post but I had a really hard time finding a good match in other foudnations. This one isn’t too pink nor too orange, it’s just perfect. I’ve said this before but I might write a post about my very frustrating experience. Let me know if that’s something you’d like to read!
That’s all for today’s post! If you’re considering this foundation I’d really recommend you give it a try. At only 7£ what’s the worst that can happen? I have another new foundation I’m trying out so let me know if you’d like a review! also, Revolution have come out with another new foundation, they Conceal&Perfect foundation and I’m dying to try that one!! Have you tried any of their foundations yet?
