As you might have seen on the blog, I went to the UK recently. We don’t have Boots or Superdrug here, so I took advantage of the fact that they have such nice prices.(everything related to beauty or skincare seemed to be much cheaper in the UK, how unfair!).
They had a 3 for 2 sale on multiple brands at Superdrug. However, I really wanted to try out the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor so I bought 3 Revlon products, and they also offered a lip pencil! So in total I got 4 items (Value of 35£) and only spent 20£! I couldn’t help myself but to write a haul for you!
I’ve been wanting to try out a matte liquid lipstick, as I didn’t have any in my collection. I haven’t been that into lipsticks so far so I didn’t have anything long-lasting. When I first saw the Revlon Ultra HD matte lip color in the shop it really caught my attention because of the beautiful packaging! Before deciding whether I wanted to buy it or not, I looked it up online and found that Tati Westbrook loves it, so I was sold on it right away! haha
It’s not exactly what I was looking for but I ended up loving it nonetheless, so much so that I’ve featured it in my October favorites post!
After swatching a few shades of the Revlon Matte Balm I realized I needed to buy one of them! I had this old lipgloss that I was looking to replace and I loved the shade of it. Luckily I was able to find a really similar shade and I’m so happy I did! I also loved the fact that it’s a pencil balm and really liked the formula from the swatches.
This was the lip pencil I was offered for free when buying 3 products, the Revlon Colorstay Lipliner. There weren’t many shades to choose from but I ended up really liking this one. It is quite similar to my natural lip shade so I love it for a no makeup makeup look. However I don’t like the formula. It’s hard to apply, it’s not creamy or pigmented enough. I still use it because I love the shade so much but I was a bit disappointed with the formula.
Another thing I got was the Sleek Matte Me liquid lipstick. This was offered by my boyfriend because I just fell in love with the color! They had a really nice range of colors, from nudes to reds to darker colors which is what I went for, as I bought a lot of neutrals. I also reviewed this beautiful liquid lipstick on the blog here!
Also, I loved that it dried down completely matte and transfer proof! This is a perfect fall lip shade too!
I had been wanting to buy a new primer for a while and I really wanted to try the Revlon Photoready primers. I haven’t had much time to give this one a try but I recently realized the darker one is the only one that is pore reducing! #fail! When I saw this had a pinky tone to it I thought it was going to be pigmented, so I assumed the darker one was for darker skintones. Shame on me for not researching before buying!
However I will still give it a try and probably write a review of it!
Let me know in the comments if you liked this post and if you want me to make more like these!
Edit: I’ve been to the UK for the second time and came back with 300£ worth of makeup and skincare. Make sure you read that haul post!!
